A trench coat is a classic wardrobe staple that every fashionista should own! It's one of the most stylish ways to dress up in the Fall/Winter. Yes, a trench coat can be worn in the winter, depending on where you live and the temperature. I live in the south, so in the Fall we experience warmer temperatures. Our winters are bipolar, it's really the only time I'm able to enjoy wearing layers. Here are a few styling options for wearing a trench coat in the winter: 1. trench coat, plaid or stripe shirt, skinny jeans, converse sneakers, and a baseball cap. 2. trench coat, sweater, skirt, OTK boots, and a scarf. 3. trench coat, blouse, slacks, and heels. 4. trench coat, white collar shirt, black leather pants, heels or boots, and a scarf. Trench coats are versatile and the styling options are endless.
I don't follow fashion rules, I honestly wear what feels right at the moment. For this look, I wanted to stick with neutral tones. I'm wearing an off white turtle neck (purchased at Forever 21), white flare jeans (old), and a trench coat (purchased at Bebe stores). For accessories, I wanted to add flare to my trench coat so I added a faux fur stole (purchased at Lulus), Louis Vuitton clutch, Ray ban sunglasses, gold stud earrings (old), and gold Fossil watch. For shoes, I paired my white Jessica Simpson ankle boots (purchased at Nordstrom). I hope this post inspires you on ways to style your trench coat!
