Home for the holidays!!! It's the holiday season and a lot of people will be traveling back home. This photo shoot took place in my home town of Cadwell, Ga. I know, you're probably thinking, where is that? I get that response all the time. Cadwell is a small town in Laurens County, Georgia; approximately two hours south of Atlanta. According to the 2017 census, with the population of approximately 525 people. Everything I grew up with in this town no longer exists, with the exception of Cadwell Furniture. Cadwell Furniture is well known for it's quality furniture. So for the few people that's heard of Cadwell, they refer to it as, "oh the place where that furniture store is." I was born in Atlanta, Ga. but reared most of my life in the country. The abandoned store pictured was a big part of my childhood. I have so many fond memories walking to the store with my cousins to buy candy, peach rings to be exact. They were only $0.05, so I would have a paper bag full and be so happy! "Those were the good old days." Although, I was reared in the country, I've always been an adventurer. I'm a city girl at heart!

The hottest style trends for the holiday season are velvet, shimmer, and sequins! I LOVE bling, the more bling the better, in my opinion. For this holiday slay, I'm wearing a striped sequined dress purchased at Zara, last season. A statement dress fit for the holidays! When I saw this dress online, I knew I had to have it. The sequins, vibrant colors, and the fit are everything! Since the dress speaks volumes, I went understated with my accessories. I'm wearing pearl and black tassel earrings (purchased at It's Fashion Metro) and a black clutch (purchased at forever 21). For shoes, I paired black heels with gold accent to compliment the sequins in the dress. When I wore this dress, I received several compliments. It's one of my favorites and definitely a head turner. I hope this inspires you as you're preparing for the holiday parties, don't shy away from sequins! Be Bold, Be-YOU-tiful!
