Keep your head up
Hello everyone!!! I watched Self Made on Netflix, it's a limited series, "inspired" by the life of Madam C.J. Walker. Madam C.J. Walker was one of the first female self made millionaires in America. She faced so much adversity but she stayed focused on her vision and kept the faith. I'm so inspired from watching her story. We can honestly achieve anything we put our minds to. It will not be easy, you will experience adversity; but it will definitely be worth it. Stay encouraged you guys, that vision/goal that you have is not unachievable. Write the goal down that scares you and make short term goals that will help you achieve it! I'm rooting for you!
The day I took these pictures I wasn't in the mood to be in front of a camera, I was tired. That's the thing about goals, you will not achieve them if you only do the work on the days you feel like it, you must put your feelings aside. For this week's look, I'm showing you how to style sweat pants. I paired my grey sweats with a cropped tee. Since the sweat pants are loose fit, I wanted a loose fit tee but crop to show a little skin. I'm so grateful we've had some cold weather because I was able to wear my trench coat a few times this winter. I paired my trench coat to give a more structured look. For accessories, I'm wearing a dad hat, aviator sunglasses, and red booties to add a pop of color. Do you see how accessories took this simple relaxed look to the next level? I can't stress enough how important accessories are!
Here are a few styling options for sweat pants: 1. blazer, screen tee (tie a knot in the front or side), sweat pants, and heels. 2. Screen tee, plaid shirt (tie it around your waist), sweat pants, fedora hat, and booties. 3. T-shirt, sweat pants, bandana (tie it around your neck), tall socks, and vans or converse. I hope these styling tips are helpful!
